Shine the Spotlight!

Mike has been a client of the Tailored Day Program for over three years. At the beginning, the Tailored Day program, Mike was assisted with completing his Associates in Small Business Management. After this, Mike moved onto his passion of advocating for people with disabilities. Mike is the current Vice President on United Cerebral Palsy Board, where he attends events in the community and advocates for others. Mike previously presented a presentation through other agencies and the Sweetwater High School District, in hopes of teaching others about the misconceptions people have about disabilities. Mike recently, with the help of his facilitator, made a new presentation regarding disability information, ADA transport, working with and encountering people with disabilities, and etiquette when interacting with people with disabilities. Mike is actively looking to present this in the local community and at businesses’. Mike is also currently working on a new goal, finding a internship at a bus transit business. Mike feels he needs to better the wheelchair access in regards to busses and is striving to
